  • Summary: Great Droid Cable!
  • Comment: Thanks to another reviewer, I confirmed that this would work well for my original Motorola Droid- and it definitely does. Why it's about a buck cheaper than the droid cable by the same manufacturer and seller is beyond me.

It's a fairly thick cable. Works fine. I'm not sure what else you can say about it.

  • Summary: Works with HTC Incredible
  • Comment: Bought two for my Incredible and they work great for both charging and data transfer. Decided on these over cheaper ones for fear of not being able to transfer data. Work well, built fine.

  • Summary: Good Value for the Price
  • Comment: I'm using these charging cables for my Motorola Droid X and have had no problems at all. Good value for the price.

  • Summary: Functions as represented
  • Comment: Not a lot to say but it works. Simple cable that charges my phone. I got 5 and gave them to my office mates as well to charge their phones. No issues whatsoever.

  • Summary: Some devices require data pins shorted to charge
  • Comment: I didn't use this cable. But a similar one with my MiFi.
To charge some devices like MiFi and some cell phones using a generic 5Volt supply, you must use a cable/adapter that shorts the data lines on the device side,
apparently that is a new Chinese micro-USB charging standard, for devices that require more than 500ma of charging current.

I haven't found a source, but you can hack one easily if you have a razor and a small soldering iron, here's a picture:

Use the pictured adapter in-line with the micro-USB data cable when you just want to charge.
Use the micro-USB data cable alone with your PC for sync'ing, etc, with appropriate software.
